Notice What You Notice

On a very quiet winter walk at Dirleton Castle and Gardens, a few small details made a strong impression on me. It’s interesting how, among everything around us, the eye suddenly chooses one thing and begins to look with more intention and focus.

Among my mindful sightings: the rich texture of a wall, the elegant structure of winter plants, a lamp post peeking from behind the walled garden.
