Workshops

Photography as a Meditative Practice

The aim of the workshops is to foster well-being through a deeper connection with oneself and the world around us.

Photography is used as a tool to awaken presence and fresh perception. Participants are supported in deepening their sense of awareness by slowing down, noticing and practicing presence.

The workshops are an invitation to explore and to anchor ourselves in the present moment through a creative practice, which is free from pressure or outcome.

No technical skills are required and neither a camera if you do not have one, the camera in your phone will do.

Testimonials

“The workshop was a quiet, meditative opportunity to observe and photograph in nature. Being in your presence was also very special—your calm, thoughtful, and open approach created a real sense of trust and safety within the group.” — J

“The tutor was warm and open in the way she explained what she was inviting us to do. There was just enough guidance and structure to help focus our exploration of the woodland without restricting it.” — L

“I really liked the use of focus words. They led me in unexpected directions during the workshop, which was a wonderful surprise. I use nature photography to support my mental wellbeing, as it encourages me to focus on the present moment and step away from the pressures of work.” — E
