Mindful Photography - Returning to the same tree

May 21
1 min read

During our Mindful Photography session at the Planetary Healing Centre, I kept noticing the same tree across the field. Wherever I walked, my eye was drawn back to it. That’s how this small series of images came together: the same tree, seen differently each time—each photograph capturing it from a new angle, a different place in the landscape, a different composition.

It wasn’t my intention at the start of the photo walk to create a series around one tree; it simply emerged through walking, looking, and listening. Uncluttered mind, clearer vision !

That is exactly what happened to me , this morning ! Was drawn to single tree , walked away from it , took various different photos. At end of my mindful photography walk , I captured the tree .

That's so interesting, Hazel, because when you were sharing what you had noticed and showed us the image of the single tree, I immediately thought of this series.

Nature has its own way of pulling us in and guiding our gaze!

Thank you again for joining us yesterday. I really enjoyed hearing about your experience, and I look forward to seeing you again for our winter session.
